Flash Fiktion

It’s telling that many of the songs of Flash Fiktion are about transcending one’s mundane surroundings. “It’s about the idea of artificial happiness,” says Matt, Flash Fiktion frontman, of the band’s euphoric new single, ‘Capsules Of Sun’. “It’s a narrative about a girl who sells drugs at her school. But they’re drugs that provoke a sense of happiness - like sunshine in a capsule.”
Flash Fiktion is a name that refers to a specific kind of short-form fiction that gelled neatly with the band’s own lyrical approach - “a story written so it can be fitted on one sheet of paper, or on the back of a postcard,” says Ollie. “It’s a narrative with quick impact – an idea that you can communicate in a three minute song.”
