As the third in the series of FORT's recently established exhibition program, THE ONE SHOW brings together five London based artists whose subtle use of humor and genuine, sometimes highly personal, gesture celebrates the more absurdly ironic encounters of everyday life. THE ONE SHOW seeks to establish a simple common ground between the five artists, each of whom offer up somewhat whimsical reflections as well as more direct recordings of the kind of fleeting, often inconsequential, moments we all experience in our lives, whether knowingly or not.
Curated by Rob Eagle & Rob Leech, THE ONE SHOW will encompass a series of incidental encounters with work in video, photography & print as well as more unconventional media (such as a gobstopper & the sound of Martin Creed chuckling) that reflect the character & dynamics of FORT's exhibition spaces.
